Active Trowbridge has been confirmed as a finalist in the Wiltshire Business Awards 2017 for Services to the Community. Since its launch in 2008 as well as providing affordable sporting opportunity for schools and young people, Active Trowbridge has been an integral part of sporting activities in the wider community. Supporting schools to allow children to participate in the 2012 Olympic Torch relay as it passed through Trowbridge and working with all local schools in Trowbridge to provide a lasting legacy of the Olympics, by decorating the Town Park bandstand with sporting Mosaics. Assisting with stop and drop services, and planning applications to provide a Trowbridge school with a new swimming pool to name just a few examples. We are looking forward to meeting with the judges later this month to further showcase our services and the results of the awards will be announced on the 5th May at the awards evening at Longleat Centre Parcs.
